Reliance Trenchless Technology Inc. and its jointly owned operating companies (together, "Reliance", "we", "us" or "our") are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy applies to https://reliancetrenchless.com and its language versions, the short links at go.reliancetrenchless.com, the public MCP endpoint at https://reliancetrenchless.com/mcp, and enquiries you send to us by email or messaging. It does not cover third-party services, which have their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the Service and answer enquiries:
Enquiry information you choose to send us by email, WhatsApp or other channels, such as your name, company, job title, email address, telephone number, country, and project details including pipe dimensions, materials, quantities, destinations, drawings and photographs.
Catalogue requests sent to the MCP endpoint, such as search terms, product identifiers, pipe dimensions and other project facts included in a request.
Technical information needed to deliver and secure a web service, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or client type, referring page and error information, which is processed by our hosting and security provider.
Analytics information, only if you allow analytics: pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, and events such as starting an enquiry or clicking a WhatsApp link.
The website does not require an account, does not include a login, and does not intentionally collect special categories of personal information. The contact form does not send data to our servers; it opens an email draft in your own email application, and we receive the message only if you send it.
3. Cookies, local storage and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. Google Analytics is not loaded and its cookies are not set until you choose "Allow analytics". Advertising storage, ad personalization and ad user data signals remain disabled.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
Your analytics choice is stored in your browser's local storage so that we do not ask again on each page. You can change it at any time through "Analytics settings" in the website footer. When you withdraw consent, analytics stops and the Google Analytics cookies on this website are removed; data already sent to Google cannot be recalled by that action.
We do not intentionally send form fields, email addresses or project descriptions to Google Analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. How we use information
to answer your enquiry, prepare quotations and supply products and documents you request;
to return the catalogue response requested through the MCP endpoint;
to operate, secure, debug and improve the website and endpoint, and to prevent abuse;
to measure website usage when you have allowed analytics;
to keep business records and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Legal bases
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR require a legal basis, we rely on: your consent for analytics; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of a contract, for enquiries, quotations and orders; our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Service and responding to business communications; and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
6. How information is shared
We share information only as needed with:
our jointly owned operating companies and manufacturing partners, to answer enquiries and fulfil orders;
service providers that host and protect the website, endpoint and short links (Cloudflare), measure website usage with your consent (Google), and provide our email and messaging services;
logistics, inspection and payment providers when needed to deliver an order you place;
authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Reliance, our customers or others;
a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or reorganization, subject to this policy.
When you contact us through WhatsApp, LinkedIn, YouTube or your own email provider, or use the MCP endpoint through ChatGPT or another client, that provider processes your information under its own privacy policy.
7. International transfers
Reliance operates from China and serves customers worldwide, and our service providers process data in several countries. Your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in China, the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as contractual protections offered by our service providers.
8. Retention
We keep enquiry and customer correspondence for as long as needed to respond, support the business relationship and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, and then delete or anonymize it. The MCP endpoint is stateless and does not create a user profile from a request. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own policies. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting of our analytics property.
9. Security
The website and endpoint are served over HTTPS, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send confidential or sensitive information through public channels or AI clients.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Residents of some jurisdictions, such as California, may also have the right to know what personal information is collected and to not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise a right, email sales@reliancetrenchless.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. Requests about information held by a third-party provider may also need to be directed to that provider.
11. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Service, our providers or applicable requirements change. The updated policy takes effect when published on this page with a new effective date. Where the law requires, we will ask for your consent to material changes.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy or a privacy request can be sent to sales@reliancetrenchless.com or through the contact page at https://reliancetrenchless.com/contact.
