How to completeTick every option that applies and fill in the fields. Give dimensions in millimetres (mm) unless stated, measured on site where possible. Questions marked * are needed before we can quote. If you are unsure, choose “Not sure” – an honest blank is better than a guess, and our engineers will follow up.

01Customer and projectREQUIRED

Include country code

City, country

Port or address · EXW / FOB / CIF / DAP

Date

02ApplicationREQUIRED

The plug is for

Sewage, stormwater, clean water…

Hours or days

m³/h or L/s · bypass plugs only

03Pipe to be pluggedREQUIRED

Why we ask:the plug grips the pipe wall – diameter, shape and wall condition decide the model and its safe back pressure.

Pipe internal diameter, measured

mm

mm

Pipe shape(choose one)

Concrete, clay, PVC, HDPE, steel, iron…

Smooth, rough, corroded, sediment, sharp edges, steps…

04Back pressure – height of waterREQUIRED

Why we ask:back pressure on the plug depends on how high water can rise above it; we use H to select the model and inflation pressure.

Section through the ground showing a plug in a sewer pipe below an access manhole. H is measured from the pipe invert at the plug (Point 1) up to ground level or the highest water level (Point 2).
H is the vertical height from the pipe invert at the plug (Point 1) to ground level or the highest possible water level (Point 2)

m

Surcharge, pumping or tide – how high, or what pressure

Testing plugs only, e.g. 0.5 bar air

Quick checkEach 1 m of water above the invert adds about 0.1 bar (10 kPa) of back pressure. Example: H = 6 m ≈ 0.6 bar.

05Access openingREQUIRED

Why we ask:the deflated plug must pass through the narrowest opening on its way to the pipe.

Plan views of a round manhole frame with clear opening diameter D and a rectangular frame with clear opening L by W.
Measure the clear opening inside the frame, not the cover
Opening shape(choose one)

mm

Shaft, benching, step irons

06Plug typeREQUIRED

Single-size high pressure pipe plug on a workshop floor.
Single-size – made for one pipe ID
Multi-size high pressure pipe plug lifted in a workshop.
Multi-size – covers a range of pipe IDs
Plug type(choose one)

SafetyAn inflated plug under back pressure stores considerable energy. Always restrain the plug, never exceed the rated inflation or back pressure, and keep people out of the pipe and the plug’s line of travel while it is under load.

Why we ask:photos, CCTV and drawings shorten our review. After sending, email the files to sales@reliancetrenchless.com quoting your reference.
